The Outer walls of the Asuras compound are 20ft tall, magically reinforced stone. A permanent Wall of Force extends a full 200ft beyond the top of the walls. The Gatehouse is similarly reinforced, with a 100' atrium that all cargo must pass through for inspection. The Asuras crest, wrought in Purple Shelzarium, graces the gate house.
Entering the estate, there are 5 mansions, each a sumptuous display of various architectural styles. Supplementing these mansions are numerous barracks, warehouses, guard towers, & assorted outbuildings. The compound has sufficient resources to endure siege with it's full complement of soldiers & servants for over a year.
Of servants, the majority of menial work is performed by a countless host of Unseen Servants. Only highly paid, extremely skilled servants are employed to work in the compound, & are subject to a Geas of loyalty, as well as frequent examination.
Of soldiers, the compound hosts the Ismari Legion, the finest warriors the Crimson Legion has to offer. This highly desirable position is only available to the cream of the crop, & the Ismari Legion is distinct from their brethren elsewhere with the smart, disciplined approach & the master work quality of their gear. Clad in crested helms, only the finest plate, & cloaks of crimson silk, any Legionnaire would kill for this position. The Ismari Legion counts 500 Crimson Legionnaires at any time.
An average of 10 Sorcerers maintain the wards of the compound & are on call for magical needs. These Sorcerers live pampered lives, yet are never allowed to leave the compound. Should they do so, they are paid well for tenure & loyalty, but their memory is erased.
The Wards include a vast & complex assortment of spells, including but not limited too: Guards & Wards, Forbiddance, Spell Glyphs, Alarms, & Arcane Lock. The mystical defenses are keyed to passwords, signet rings, & specific people. These wards have their various keywords & placements changed at random. All stone structures have been warded with Hold Stone spells, & are impenetrable by magic. A number of Ghosts, referred to as "The Indebted" patrol the complex invisibly, alerting Security to any intruders.
Locks are of the highest quality, further enhanced with Arcane Lock & even further enhanced in secure areas by a special construct called a "Lock Watcher." This tiny device will actively resist attempts to open a Lock it inhabits.
The actual mansions hold the Asuras family & guests. These mansions are connected by an underground tunnel network. Beyond the tunnel walls lies a full 12 inches of Dwarven Steel. The actual vault lies deep within the bedrock, well below sea level. The records, treasures, & secrets of the Asuras lie here. Only constructs, personal bodyguards, & the Asuras family are permitted to enter this level. The vault lies here, constructed of Adamantine. The vault will only open for one of Asuras blood.
